The UFC 148 Pay-Per-View will take place at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 7th. Mixed martial arts fans will be able to watch the latest Ultimate Fighting Championship action via free preliminary fights live streaming online and presented on television. The same goes for the main Pay-Per-View, although that one will come at a cost.
Looking at the UFC 148 schedule, we’ve got another action-packed card from Ultimate Fighting Championship. It all begins at 7:25 PM EST on Facebook with the free preliminary fights that will be live streaming. To view these fights, fans must click “Like” on the UFC Facebook, then return back to the page to see the live video feed, free of charge. At the time of this report, it appears there is just one fight which will be shown: Rafaello Oliveira vs. Yoislandy Izquierdo.
The next four matches can be seen for free on the FX channel. Alessio vs. Roller, Phillipou vs. Fukuda, Tibau vs. Nurmagomedov, and Guillard vs. Camoes. These four preliminary fights will be shown free of charge on television via FX beginning at 8PM EST. The main fight card on Pay-Per-View television starts at 10PM EST from Vegas.
The main event for the latest event will be Silva vs Sonnen. Both men have fought once before, so many are calling this Silva versus Sonnen part 2. Anderson Silva is the current middleweight champion and will be defending his title against the challenger, Chael Sonne. Previously the two met in 2010. This was a fight in which Silva was also defending his middleweight title. Although Sonne won the first four rounds, Silva came back and forced him to submit in the last round. Many called it the fight of the year. This match is again scheduled for five rounds with each round being five minutes.
The second fight on the card is getting a lot of talk also. Both fighters are well known and have faced each other on two previous occasions. Griffin vs Ortiz is scheduled for five, three minute rounds. These two light heavyweights have faced each other once before in the past. It was Tito Ortiz that was the winner at UFC 59 with Forrest Griffin winning at UFC 106. Both fights went the distance and both fights ended in a split decision. Will there be a decision in favor of one of these two fighters on Saturday night?
Main UFC 148 fight card odds:
