Throughout the season, the Green Bay Packers had been favored to win the year’s coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy, but they were eliminated from the running after losing 20-37 to the New York Giants on Sunday night. The final four teams will be competing on Sunday, January 22. At 3:00pm ET on CBS, the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots will battle it out for the AFC Championship, while the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers will be playing at 6:30pm ET on FOX, for the NFC Championship. The winners of each game will then meet in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI.
Madonna, who is set to play the halftime show, alongside Cirque de Soleil, will be in a battle of her own. Will she be able to bring in more viewers than last year’s halftime performance by the Black Eyed Peas, which drew more than 162 million U.S. spectators? And which Super Bowl advertisement will be voted best of 2012? In just 20 days, all results will be in. Will you be watching this year’s Super Bowl 2012 when it arrives?
