The 2011 NFL Schedule and odds for Week 11 are out, and many teams who seemed “dead in the water” just a few weeks ago are now looking like they have a shot at a wildcard spot.
No one thought four weeks ago that this Thursday night’s game between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos would have much mean, at least not for the Broncos. Now that Tim Tebow has taken over at quarterback for Kyle Orton, the Broncos have gone 3-1 in their last 4 games and beating the Jets this week would put them in a great spot to make a playoff run.
The Tennessee Titans (5-4) and Oakland Raiders (5-4) are also coming strong of late and look they will be battling to the end for a playoff spot.
While many teams are fighting for a postseason spot, the San Francisco 49ers could wrap up the NFC West division by Week 12. 49ers quarterback Alex Smith is having a breakout season and new head coach Jim Harbaugh has San Francisco fans dreaming of a long awaited return to the Super Bowl.
