MLB 2011 Single Game Tickets On Sale

The 2011 MLB regular season tickets are currently available online.  Fans will be rushing to the ballparks to see their favorite pro baseball teams and players in action.  Those teams will include the Boston Red Sox, LA Dodgers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants.

The San Francisco Giants will try to defend their 2010 World Series title in 2011 with the strength of their team still intact. The Giants, on the strength of the pitching of starters Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez and a strong bullpen anchored by closer Brian Wilson, might no longer have the best staff in baseball, however.

The Philadelphia Phillies, just two years removed from a World Series title of their own, added to their already formidable starting rotation of Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels with the signing of former Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee. The Phillies also have a potent offense with sluggers Ryan Howard and Chase Utley hitting behind speedsters Shane Victorino and Jimmy Rollins.

The St. Louis Cardinals still have the top hitter in the game in Albert Pujols, but with Pujols only under contract for one more season, his impending free agency could become a distraction in St. Louis.

In the American League, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are still the top spenders. This offseason, Boston added high-priced first baseman Adrian Gonzalez in a trade and signed speedy outfielder Carl Crawford. The Yankees made lower profile moves, adding setup man Rafael Soriano and catcher Russell Martin while hoping that a past high-priced acquisition, pitcher A.J. Burnett, returns to form.

The Texas Rangers relied on the aggressive style of manager Ron Washington and the slugging of AL MVP Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Ian Kinsler and Michael Young to make a surprise run to the World Series, but the Rangers must replace two key free agents: ace pitcher Cliff Lee signed with Philadelphia and outfielder Vladimir Guerrero signed with Baltimore. Those losses could open the door for another AL West team to overtake the Rangers this season.

With all of the drama and excitement of the latest baseball season, it’s no wonder fans want MLB baseball tickets.
